How your score is calculated

Multiple choice: right answers ÷ 55 × 50%

Free response: your points ÷ maximum points × that part's weight

Composite = the sum, as a percentage of the maximum. The composite then maps to a 1–5 score.

Tips for more points

  • Speaking and writing tasks are scored holistically on a 0–5 scale; addressing every part of the prompt matters more than flawless grammar.
  • Practise the cultural comparison with a structure you can reuse: your community, the target culture, a clear comparison.
